Cannabis Infused Breve

Here's an easy recipe for a cannabis infused breve!

Need:

Espresso Machine ( you can use a French Press also, just leave the coffee grind slightly more coarse)

Coffee grinder

1/2 tablespoon cannabis infused cream from Cannabis Infused Heavy Whipping Cream recipe

about 1/4 Whole Espresso Beans, Ground slightly coarse yet finer than you would grind for French press.

1/2 cup water to fill espresso machine

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup whole milk

about 3 teaspoons (or to taste) sugar or a flavored syrup to taste (chocolate, caramel, hazelnut, etc.)

1-2 drops of your favorite terpene profile by True Terpenes (Thin Mint Cookies is a great addition to hot beverages)

In coffee grinder, grind whole espresso beans until slightly coarse, yet finer than for a French press. (See picture above, on right, for reference.)

Fill espresso portafilter, or 'basket' with freshly ground espresso beans, use your finger to brush away excess grounds. Tamp espresso (if you do not own a tamp, no worries! Use something that will fit into portafilter to help apply pressure.) Keeping your wrist straight, apply a good amount of pressure, but avoid applying too much pressure because this can make your coffee bitter or harsh. Pros say between 20 to 30lbs of pressure, if you like to get technical. Twist as you pull away to "polish"- leaving a smooth finish on the compacted puck. Firm and consistent pressure is important! The goal is to make a compact coffee puck with no gaps or loose spots. Practice makes perfect! Here is a guide to tamping like an pro! Or check out homegrounds.co for other coffee tutorials!

Fit portafilter onto espresso machine, tightening down all the way. Fill espresso machine water reservoir with water. Turn to "brew". While espresso brews, combine 1/4 cup whole milk and 1/4 cup heavy cream into measuring cup. If you have a steaming wand on your espresso machine, wait until espresso is finished brewing before carefully steaming milks to desired temperature. If you do not have a steaming wand, heat on medium low in sauce pan/pot, stirring frequently to ensure no scolding or curdling happens. Heat to desired temperature. About 160 to 165 degrees F is most desirable temperature. You can totally microwave the milk, if you need to and have no other options. Nuke it for probably about 1 minute... maybe a minute and a half.

Once, espresso is brewed and milk is warmed to desired temperature; pour into large ceramic coffee mug with desired amount of sugar or flavored syrup and 1/2 tablespoon cannabis infused heavy whipping cream (recipe link above). Add 2 droppers of Muru CBD Elixir if desired, stir espresso and enjoy!

*You can use less cannabis infused heavy cream if you want a lighter effect, or a little more if you would like more of an effect. This amount is perfect or me, however everyone is different and there are tons of factors playing a role in how oral cannabis consumption effects each of us!
