Sublingual - Orally Absorbed Cannabis
Tinctures, suckers and other hard candies or mints/gums intended to consume without directly swallowing product.
Cannabinoids enter bloodstream through muscus membranes located under tongue, as well as inside cheeks, bypassing digestion and metabolization with quicker onset and more efficient absorption than ingestion of edibles, typically wiithin a few minutes. Most forms, such as suckers, absorb sublingually while also being swallowed with saliva, meaning sublingual absorption and oral ingestion occur together.
